Rates

Head Gap rates are $550 per day or $330 per half-day. This includes GST and engineer, but is exclusive of tape costs. A day is 10 hours studio time; a half-day is 5 hours. Extra hours are billed at $60 p/h.

Freelance engineers and bands wishing to work with their own choice of engineer/producer are more than welcome. In this instance the studio is available for hire minus staff engineer at $500 per day or $300 per half-day.
 
Current tape cost is approximately $380 per 10" reel. A reel will give you about 32 minutes of recording time at 15 ips, half that at 30 ips. We can arrange purchase in-house.

Alternatively, we have hire reels for $55 per reel. Currently we have hire reel stock of Quantegy 456 and GP9 and RMGI SM900. All hire reel stock is in excellent condition, stored in a temperature controlled environment and checked for integrity before use. Once a project is finished on hire reel stock we can transfer it to digital for mixing or archival purposes.

CD's and DVD's are charged at $2.50 each (or bring your own).

Analogue to digital transfers not related to in-house projects are available starting from $220. Email us for a firm quote as prices vary depending on complexity and length.
